About Us
Somerville House is a day and boarding school for girls established in 1899, providing exceptional education for students from Prep through to Year 12, with co-educational Pre-Prep offering. The Role
We are looking for an experienced, highly adaptable, nurturing, and passionate Teacher Aide – Learning Development to join our well-established Junior School working with students across middle to upper Primary.
This position will commence from Term 3, 2026, 13 July 2026.
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate with teachers and other Junior School staff to ensure learning is hands-on and enriching for all needs with a specific focus on literacy and numeracy. We are seeking someone who has a passion for contributing to classroom environments while understanding the needs of girls’ education and supporting students with specific learning needs including EAL/D, extension and enrichment. You will provide one-on-one support and administer assistance across intervention groups with a focus on engagement and creating positive learning experiences, with a key focus on providing a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for our students.
