Role description
Mimili is a beautiful Anangu community set in the Anangu Lands, a short drive from the Stuart Highway. We are seeking a passionate and adventurous teacher to teach our 3/4 class. An understanding or willingness to develop skills in Trauma Informed Practices is also important. All teachers work closely with Anangu Educators to deliver all aspects of the curriculum and it is important that the teacher develops strong relationships with families and community members.
You will be looking to make a real difference in the lives of our students and teachers, and to form lasting connections with our small, yet welcoming community. Bring with you a positive attitude, a willingness to grow and a good sense of humour.
Use your weekends exploring the beauty of Central Australia, with the Musgrave Ranges, Uluru, Kings Canyon, the gorges surrounding Alice Springs and everything in between, all within range. Or, get out on country with our Anangu leaders, camp out beneath the stars and learn the history of this beautiful part of the world.
Come and join our outstanding team at the Mimili Anangu School and support our students in receiving the education they deserve.
Please address the following 3 questions as part of your application:
1-Explain a time where you have empowered your learners, giving them agency to shape a
learning experience. What was the outcome?
2- How do you ensure your teaching is inclusive of students from culturally and linguistically
diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students?
3-Describe your approach to supporting students with ch…
