About You
The College seeks to appoint a suitably qualified Literacy Specialist Teacher to a part-time, temporary position, commencing as soon as possible for the remainder of the 2026 school year. This role requires a commitment of three days per week. Applications from recent graduates are strongly encouraged.
As a Literacy Specialist Teacher, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.
To excel in this role, you will:
- support and commit to the mission, values and ethos of Catholic Education
- create and execute engaging, thoroughly designed learning experiences that effectively address the school literacy priorities
- provide specialist support to teachers and students for the integration and application of effective literacy strategies
- collect and use a range of evidence to assess, evaluate and improve teaching and learning practices
- have strong interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration and quality relationships in working with others
- be skilled and committed to working with students through a positive approach to behaviour management
- have the ability to integrate ICT into their teaching of Literacy.
You will have attained:
- a tertiary qualification in Education
- eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
