Details: The Director, Case Management and Exemptions is a senior leadership role with strategic influence across the Directorate and the broader ACT Government. The role provides leadership and oversight of participation, case coordination, and education representation for children and young people living with complex needs and circumstances. The Director acts as a key advocate, liaison, and coordinator to support students who experience barriers to accessing education. This includes leading integrated, person‑centred responses, strengthening cross‑directorate and cross‑agency collaboration, and ensuring equitable, lawful, and appropriate access to education and related supports.
This role reports to the Senior Director, Targeted Support Team, including day to day reporting obligations, to ensure a consistency in approach across student facing support services.
The position requires a person with exceptional leadership and management skills including case coordination and advice to Government. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability in stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, including the ability to coordinate supports from ESO and other agencies to ensure students with complex needs have appropriate supports, resources, and plans in place t…
