Primary objective
As a member of Top End Regional Services you will provide initiative, leadership and guidance in the formulation and implementation of school and departmental policies and procedures, educational programs to achieve optimal educational outcomes, with a focus on students with additional needs.
Context statement
Top End Regional Services provides a range of services to strategically support remote small schools to maximise outcomes for students in a culturally responsive way. This includes services and support for quality teaching and learning, secondary provision, early childhood quality and integration, and policy coordination.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Work with Principals and school-based educators, to build the capacity to deliver inclusive learning environments and improve education outcomes for young children and students with additional needs arising from health and/or developmental delays that impact their ability to learn, e.g. autism spectrum disorder, impaired vision, hearing loss,…
