Primary objective

You will support public schools to attract and recruit a high-quality workforce to ensure Northern Territory Government school students have access to quality education.

Context statement

The Talent, Attraction and Recruitment (TAR) work unit sits within Schools Leadership, Culture and Care team. TAR supports the department’s strategic direction by ensuring the organisation can meet its current and future workforce needs through effective educator attraction and recruitment approaches. There are 153 government schools across six regions in the NT - Central, Big Rivers, Barkly, Top End, Darwin and East Arnhem – with 71 per cent of schools located in remote and very remote areas. Reporting to the Assistant Director – Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Officer provides administrative support to schools and facilitates high-quality workforce recruitment.
