Attendance Officer

Selection Criteria

SC1   Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of CASES 21 and COMPASS Attendance software and an understanding of the processes and accountability requirements in line with DE policy and guidelines. Experience with the Microsoft Office suite and the Google suite is desirable.

SC2   Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills - including the ability to handle a complex and challenging reception area in a highly multi-cultural community when relating to students, parents, colleagues and members of the broader community.

Fluency in Dari or Pashto is desirable for this position.

SC3  Demonstrated ability to work effectively, independently and as part of a team including a preparedness to support and contribute to the broader college program as required. 

SC 4 Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, display initiative and maintain confidentiality at all times.

SC5 Demonstrated highly effective organisational, and problem solving skills with a commitment to professional learning and growth for self and others.

 

Role

The College Attendance Officer will be an experienced person with the ability to deal with a client base in a large and complex Prep to Year 9 highly multi-cultural community college. As the first point of contact for parents and students, you will have an excellent telephone manner and take pride in providing exceptional service to customers and colleagues alike. Close attention to detail and respect for confidentiality are a must, along with high level computer skills.
