Role description
Location Profile
Anglesea Primary School is situated in the coastal town of Anglesea, 38 kilometres south-west of the centre of Geelong. Enrolment in 2026 is 158 students. The physical resources of the school are spacious, modern and comfortable and the design of the building and grounds allows for flexibility and accommodation for a variety of learning experiences and activities.
Our students are given many opportunities to participate in a range of projects, programs and special events within our community. Parents and members of the wider community play an important role in the school and their participation is actively encouraged. A strong focus on wellbeing is firmly established with opportunities for all to achieve success in learning.
The organisational structure of the school consists of multi-aged classes organized into a Junior Learning Team (Foundation, 1/2) and a Senior Learning Team, (3/4,5/6). Curriculum planning is based on a multi-age philosophy, goal based learning and the Victorian Curriculum. Team teaching is strongly embedded into the organizational and day to day operations of the teaching and learning process.
The focus of our teaching and learning is on attainment of skills within all areas of the curriculum through the provision of personalized and individualized learning experiences that take account of each student's unique needs, learning style and abilities.
