Selection Criteria

SC1: Curriculum Knowledge and Student Learning

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum, particularly within Health and Physical Education, including the ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills into teaching and learning programs. 
  • Capacity to deliver engaging and inclusive Physical Education programs that promote participation, teamwork, resilience and lifelong healthy habits. 
  • Demonstrated ability to differentiate teaching to support the diverse learning needs, strengths and interests of students. 
  • Commitment to fostering student engagement, confidence and active participation through positive and supportive learning environments. 

SC2: Planning, Teaching and Program Development

  • Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies that enhance student learning and participation in Physical Education. 
  • Ability to design engaging programs that develop students¿ fundamental motor skills, fitness, sportsmanship and understanding of health and wellbeing. 
  • Capacity to create safe, inclusive and well-structured learning environments using positive classroom management and student engagement strategies. 
  • Ability to evaluate and adapt teaching programs to improve student outcomes and maximise participation. 

SC3: Assessment and Data Use

  • Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning and participation in Physical Education.
