Role description
Selection Criteria
SC1 A high level understanding of youth athletic development concepts and the ability to apply these concepts practically with the student-athletes.
SC2 Demonstrated high level planning of strength and conditioning training programs, rehabilitation principles as well as the ability to execute age-appropriate athletic development practical sessions.
SC3 Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team in our specialist sports program.
SC4 Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to develop a positive rapport with student-athletes.
SC5 Demonstrated high-level situational awareness, with the ability to adapt quickly within a dynamic learning environment, self-reflect and a commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others.
Role
The ability to design and deliver high-level youth athletic development and rehabilitation services within the Specialist Sports Program at Western Heights College.
Develop systems, programs and long-term athletic development plans for the student-athletes from Year 7-12.
Responsibilities
- Deliver strength, conditioning, rehabilitation and training preparation programs for Year 7-12 student-athletes across the 4 pillar sports (AFL, Basketball, Netball and Soccer).
- Support the delivery of Education, health, respectful relationships, injury prevention, recovery, sport and exercise science curriculums to student-athletes from Year 7-10
