Role description
Selection Criteria
1. Demonstrated experience in facilities management, maintenance or a related field, with the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
2. Proven ability to undertake maintenance and groundskeeping tasks, and to effectively engage, coordinate and oversee contractors for works beyond own expertise, ensuring quality outcomes within agreed timelines and budgets.
3. Experience in the use of systems such as Microsoft Office, Compass, and DE platforms including AIMS and EduSafe Plus (or the capacity to quickly acquire)
4. Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation, compliance systems and risk management practices
5. Highly developed organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to prioritise competing demands, manage budgets, and maintain accurate records across multiple platforms
6. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in particular the ability to professionally communicate with a wide range of stakeholders in a school environment, and to maintain confidentiality as required

The Facilities Manager is responsible for leading the management of the school's facilities, grounds and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) systems to ensure a safe, compliant and well-maintained environment for students, staff and visitors.
