Location Profile
Altona Primary School has a proud history of learning growth and a positive school culture. The school has an enrolment of approximately 500 students, composed of 22 classes from Prep to Year 6.
Our grounds are comprised of four playground spaces, large synthetic court surfaces, an oval, soccer pitch, sand pits and garden spaces. We have 25 classroom spaces, an art room, music room, STEM space and library. Infrastructure includes a heritage building, BER building and a number of relocatable classrooms. We have had a recent grounds upgrade with the inclusion of a hardcourt surface, new synthetic courts, new playgrounds and a large deck.

Selection Criteria
APPLICANTS WILL NEED TO SUBMIT A RESUME. ALONG WITH THIS, A SINGLE PAGE RESPONSE/LETTER WHICH OUTLINES SKILLS/CAPABILITIES REFERENCED IN THE SELECTION CRITERIA BELOW.
SC1 Demonstrated experience in building and grounds maintenance, repair, and gardening
SC2 A strong work ethic, eye for detail and a sense of pride in efficiently completing work to a high standard as well as the ability to work independently and to follow instructions
SC3 Sound understanding of OHS standards and maintenance procedures in a school setting.
SC4 Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate advice and support effectively with staff, students, and contractors in respect to the work area.
