Role description
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Secondary Mathematics Teacher with a talent for engaging students to think mathematically through questioning, communicating, reasoning and reflecting. You will be adept at fostering students ability to find connections and understand complex mathematical concepts at a level that every student can grasp, irrespective of ability. This role is a Permanent Full-Time position and will commence on Monday 20 July 2026.
You will be committed to the achievement of excellence as a classroom teacher; a strong collaborator; and confident in effective pedagogy and classroom management. With a thorough content knowledge and mastery of the curriculum, you will be someone who is committed to delivering the best possible teaching practices and learning experiences while enjoying the many benefits of being part of the St Patrick’s College community
Essential Criteria
- A working understanding of, and commitment to the Catholic ethos of a School in the Edmund Rice tradition.
- Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice.
- Qualified to teach Mathematics - Stage 4 to Stage 6 with NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.
- Demonstrated excellence as a classroom practitioner.
- Demonstrates effective classroom management through clear expectations, proactive behaviour strategies, and fostering a positive learning environment.
