Role description
Xavier College is seeking a dependable, organised and energetic Canteen Coordinator to join our team. This permanent, part-time position plays a key role in coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Canteen, ensuring the efficient preparation of food services while maintaining high standards of customer service, food safety, hygiene, and WHS compliance.
We have campuses at Gawler Belt (7-12), Two Wells (R-11), Evanston (R-6) and Riverlea Park (opening in 2027). Travel between the campuses will be required.
This role offers 25 - 33 hours per week across 41 weeks of the year, including the week prior to Term 1. The hours/days are negotiable with the suitable candidate. Please note that some out-of-hours work may be required during school holiday periods, such as leading up to the commencement of School, stocktake and uniform fitting days.
As the Canteen Coordinator you will work closely with the Canteen and Uniform Shop Manager to:
- Coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the canteen, including opening and closing procedures to ensure efficient food preparation and customer service
- Operating and monitoring the Point of Sale (POS) system and EFTPOS terminal to provide efficient and respectful customer service to students, staff, and families
- Reconciling daily takings, including cash and EFTPOS transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing banking documentation
- Monitoring stock levels, ordering food and supplies within budget parameters, and coordinating deliveries, ensuring items are checked against invoices and order documentation
