Role description
We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to work alongside our Business Manager in undertaking a broad range of day-to-day financial tasks and activities with minimal direct supervision.
This is a permanent part-time position, working 13 hours per week across 45 weeks of the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing fortnightly payroll
- Managing debtors on a weekly basis, as required
- Undertaking monthly debt collection processes
- Processing creditors weekly
- Completing weekly bank reconciliations
- Preparing month-end reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end BAS preparation
- Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS)
About You
Commitment to supporting and upholding the Catholic ethos of the school.
Experience and knowledge in finance and payroll processes, including maintaining compliance requirements.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook), finance and payroll systems, and databases.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and use sound judgement when solving problems.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide professional and responsive support to staff and families.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Demonstrated initiative, responsibility, and commitment to providing a high-quality finance service.
