Role description

Rostrevor College is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to lead financial operations and contribute to informed decision making across the college. 

Finance Manager

Reporting to the Director of Business, the Finance Manager leads the financial operations of Rostrevor College and oversees the work and performance of the Finance and Administration Team.

The Finance Manager provides expert financial insights, analysis, and advice to support both operational and strategic priorities. The role plays a critical part in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement across systems and processes. 

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations

  • Lead and manage finance functions including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Oversee cashflow forecasting, banking relationships, and financial transactions
  • Maintain asset registers and complete reconciliations and funding acquittals
  • Ensure accurate payroll processing and employee records
  • Manage debtor processes and liaise sensitively with families regarding accounts

Reporting, Analysis & Compliance

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Contribute to budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting, audits, and statutory requirements
