Rutherford Technology High School is a large, co-educational comprehensive secondary school established in 1985, enrolling 1406 students including 13 inclusion and support classes. The school serves a diverse community with significant representation from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students (25%), and students from varied socio-economic backgrounds across a geographically widespread area. The school maintains strong community ties through the Aboriginal Learning and Engagement Centre (ALEC) and emphasises student growth, equity, and wellbeing through differentiated teaching, explicit support for English as an Additional Language or Dialect students, and programs for high-potential learners. Position Information
