St Martin de Porres School is an integral part of the faith community of Avondale Heights. St Martin de Porres School is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS).

We are currently seeking a Prep Teacher for a short term contract until the end of 2026.  You could be who we are looking for!

Candidates must have an ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment. They must have excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and the MACS Vision for Instruction.

Role Description:

• Nurture each student’s development and relationship with God
• Model and bear witness to the Catholic faith
• Commit to create communities of learning which engage our students with a Catholic faith that is filled with life, hope and meaning within a diverse context 
• Provide a safe environment and support the school’s commitment to a zero tolerance of abuse of any kind 
• Build and value partnerships with parents and the wider community
• Use data to inform the learning and teaching cycle and differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of all students at all times
• Provide continuous and accurate feedback to learners 
• Reflect on their own practice in partnership with a coach, and document, monitor and peer review personal goals to support ongoing learning
• Work collaboratively across the school community and in a team
