As Ballarat’s only Catholic co-educational secondary college, our innovative and progressive learning environment aspires to challenge students to contribute confidently to their global community.
Our teachers play a key role in shaping a culture that nurtures curiosity, encourages critical thinking, and instils in students the confidence to engage with the community as compassionate and responsible young people.
We are seeking a Woodwork/Metalwork Teacher to join the Technology Learning area, teaching across years 7-12. The role includes planning and teaching practical and theoretical lessons in a safe workshop environment, supporting student projects, and contributing to curriculum development within the Technology department.
The successful applicants will demonstrate:
- Relevant teaching qualifications with specialisation in Design and Technology, Woodwork and/or Metalwork.
- Strong knowledge of workshop safety rules, safe use of equipment and risk management.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary, data-informed teaching practices.
- The ability to create engaging, inclusive and well-managed learning environments.
- A capacity to build positive and respectful relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- A commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College, grounded in the Mercy tradition.
