Our teachers play a key role in shaping a culture that nurtures curiosity, encourages critical thinking, and instils in students the confidence to engage with the community as compassionate and responsible young people.

We are seeking a Woodwork/Metalwork Teacher to join the Technology Learning area, teaching across years 7-12. The role includes planning and teaching practical and theoretical lessons in a safe workshop environment, supporting student projects, and contributing to curriculum development within the Technology department.

The successful applicants will demonstrate:

  • Relevant teaching qualifications with specialisation in Design and Technology, Woodwork and/or Metalwork.
  • Strong knowledge of workshop safety rules, safe use of equipment and risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary, data-informed teaching practices.
  • The ability to create engaging, inclusive and well-managed learning environments.
  • A capacity to build positive and respectful relationships with students, families and colleagues.
  • A commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College, grounded in the Mercy tradition.
