Role description
South East Region, School and Regional Operations and Performance Division
We are seeking a highly motivated and relational Student Support Officer (SSO) to join our regional team.
This role is focused on working directly with students to build their personal and social capabilities through evidence-based approaches.
The successful applicant will engage face-to-face with students to explicitly teach, model, and reinforce skills such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, social management and learning behaviours that support successful participation in school.
Importantly, this is not a case management role. Instead, the SSO works alongside staff, students and families to deliver targeted skill development and build capability across the school community.
