Kenwick School, an Independent Public School, is a government school of choice for students in Years K – 12 with wide ranging special educational needs. These include severe to profound intellectual disabilities, sensory and physical impairments, as well as other complex medical and behavioural conditions.
Our school is a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment that enables students to learn the functional knowledge, coping, life and social skills they require to achieve their full potential. We accomplish this through a relentless focus on individualised and inclusive learning programs underpinned by collaborative engagement with students, their families and other service providers. Kenwick School pursues an inclusive and holistic approach to achieve positive social, educational, and health and well-being student outcomes. Several of our students often display challenging, maladaptive behaviours; many have co-morbid mental health conditions. We continue to develop and refine our strategies to foster positive student outcomes. This year we expect teach more than 100 students.
