The Role
As a Library Officer, you will play a vital role in providing clerical and library support. This includes tasks such as preparing correspondence, booking facilities, and assisting with stocktaking. Your responsibility extends to maintaining a safe and orderly library environment, including the upkeep of equipment, displays, and the repair of damaged books, as well as the proper covering of new books.
Operating library systems will be part of your daily tasks, ensuring that records are up-to-date, new resources are added, and deleted or archived items are appropriately documented with accurate barcoding. Timely and effective processing of loans and returns is crucial to ensure accessibility for students, staff, and parents.
