We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistant – Special Needs (EA-SN) for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Aveley Secondary College (SC) is a large mainstream secondary school with an endorsed Education Support Program catering to students in Years 7 to 12 in Perth’s Swan Valley. The College is recognised as a school of choice with high expectations and standards, a progressive approach and commitment to excellence. The school’s moral purpose is success for every student, every day. Our staff are supported through professional development and mentoring to build capacity. We provide a safe and nurturing learning environment for students, supported by a highly dedicated team of teachers and Education Assistants.
The Education support program caters for over 75 students with moderate to severe disabilities. All students have individualised programs and planning to support their needs and pathways. Within the Education Support building, there are specialised facilities, including a hydrotherapy pool, hoisting equipment, a purpose-built life skills room, sensory spaces and generously sized classrooms.
