Role description


We are seeking to establish a pool of Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer (AIEO) for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Yanchep Secondary College (SC) provides young people in the Yanchep area with a high quality, comprehensive education. Yanchep Secondary College opened in 2018 in a brand new purpose built school. We offer a broad, high-level curriculum encompassing academic programs and vocational courses to provide students with opportunities to pursue learning interests that inspire and challenge them.

We enrol students from years 7 to 12. Yanchep SC contains commercial kitchen and cafe and an arts centre for visual and performing arts. The school is designed to give students access to specialist subject teaching and the best learning practices to promote success and excellence.

The Role

As an AIEO, you will ideally be well organised, reliable, and flexible whilst providing support and assistance to Aboriginal students, their parents/guardians, teachers, and the community through the knowledge, understanding and sharing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
