Role description
Cranbrook School is seeking an outstanding Athletics Coaches to join our small but dynamic team based at the Senior School campus in Bellevue Hill.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Cranbrook School is committed to motivating and developing athletes from beginners through to elite level. Coaching will require you to be available for before and/or after school training commitments and work on Saturdays.
Coaches actively support the mission and values of Cranbrook School in developing and mentoring our students to reach their potential as athletes and young people. Your role involves developing and improving the physical skills, decision making abilities and positive sporting behaviours of our students to enable them to successfully compete within school-based competitions and beyond.
Employment is on a casual basis. Remuneration will be determined by your experience and qualifications.
ABOUT YOU
You have a demonstrated record of being a dynamic and successful coach. You are enthusiastic, patient and focused on technique.
With excellent communication skills, you have the ability to engage with all stakeholders in a responsive and inclusive manner.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- A minimum of a Level 2 Athletics Australia coaching accreditation
- Level 3 Athletics Australia coaching accreditation is desirable but not essential
- An exercise science or human movement degree
- Experience coaching athletics events including; sprints (100, 200, 400m), middle distance (800m, 1500m and 3000m), jumps (high jump and long jump), hurdles and throws (shot put, javelin and discus)
