Role description

Ngaruki Gulgul School is a growing independent, non-denominational, co-educational special assistance school supporting young people in Years 9–12. Since 2014, we have delivered holistic, personalised education and wellbeing support for students seeking an alternative pathway. As we continue to grow, we are expanding our programs and opening a Stage 5 campus at Woongarrah.

We are looking for innovative, passionate and engaging teachers who enjoy working with young people and want to make a genuine difference. We think differently, embrace trauma-informed practices, and create meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that help students reconnect with education and future opportunities.

About the role
As a Generalist Teacher, you will work collaboratively with a small and supportive team to deliver engaging learning experiences for students in Years 9–10. You will have the opportunity to contribute to practical learning programs, including a focus on trade pathways and Aboriginal education.

You will bring:

  1. The ability to motivate, engage and inspire young people, including students with diverse and complex needs 
  2. Capacity and willingness to plan and teach across a range of Stage 5 Key Learning Areas 
  3. Strong understanding of adolescent development and the varied educational needs of students from diverse backgrounds 
  4. Demonstrated quality teaching practice and effective classroom management skills 
  5. A flexible, positive and collaborative approach to working within a team
