Current: Range: $39.44 to $41.35 per hour pending experience + Super Join our team as a School Chaplain at Burdekin Catholic High School, Ayr!We are seeking a caring, faith-filled, and community-minded School Chaplain to join our dedicated team on a Fixed Term, part time basis completing 8 hours per week (hours per day negotiable). This position commences on 10th June 2026 and concludes on 4th December 2026. This is a meaningful opportunity to support students’ spiritual and emotional wellbeing, strengthen our Catholic ethos, and foster a sense of belonging across our vibrant school community.As Chaplain, you’ll provide pastoral and spiritual care to students and staff, create opportunities for faith development, and promote Catholic values through social justice initiatives, reflection experiences, and community engagement. You’ll work closely with the school leadership team, classroom teachers, families, and the wider parish to nurture a faith-filled and compassionate school culture. The successful candidate will hold Certificate IV in Youth Work, Chaplaincy or Pastoral Care or equivalent or higher qualification – this qualification must include competencies in ‘making appropriate referrals and mental heath.
