The GOALS campus of Lavers Hill K-12 College aims to re-engage young people who are currently disengaged from education by providing students with a flexible, supportive and highly tailored learning program. Based in Colac at the former Colac Specialist School site, GOALS operates within a spacious and purpose-built Department of Education setting that allows students to access a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment designed to support a wide range of learning and wellbeing needs.

GOALS is a Victorian Government Flexible Learning Options (FLO) school supporting students from Year 10 and beyond who may have experienced disengagement, exclusion or barriers within mainstream education settings. Our approach is grounded in strong teacher-student relationships, with all staff trained in the Berry Street Education Model and committed to trauma-informed practice. We strive to create a campus culture where students feel safe, connected and empowered to succeed.

We focus on student strengths and pathways, delivering an applied and individualised curriculum that supports both educational and wellbeing goals. Each student has an annually updated Individual Learning Plan designed to respond to their changing aspirations, needs and future pathways.

Positive outcomes are seen every day, with many students reconnecting with education, attaining VCE VM, VPC, VET and TAFE qualifications, and successfully transitioning into employment, further education and training opportunities.
