Role description

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated understanding of the role of the Learning Enhancement Aide within a school setting, including the ability to support evidence-based teaching and learning practices under teacher direction.
  2. Sound understanding of inclusive education, including knowledge of common learning differences (e.g., Deaf or Hard of Hearing, dyslexia, ADHD, ASD) and evidence-informed strategies to support student access, communication, participation, and engagement, including the use of visual supports and Auslan where appropriate.
  3. Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and constructively within a team-based environment, contributing to a culture of inclusion, trust, and continuous improvement.
  4. Strong communication skills, verbal, written and Auslan, with the ability to support clear communication between students, teachers, and families.
  5. Ability to collect, record, and communicate student learning data accurately to support decision-making and intervention planning.
  6. Commitment to ongoing professional learning, reflective practice, and alignment with the school¿s instructional model and values.
