Role description
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated understanding of the role of the Learning Enhancement Aide within a school setting, including the ability to support evidence-based teaching and learning practices under teacher direction.
- Sound understanding of inclusive education, including knowledge of common learning differences (e.g., Deaf or Hard of Hearing, dyslexia, ADHD, ASD) and evidence-informed strategies to support student access, communication, participation, and engagement, including the use of visual supports and Auslan where appropriate.
- Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and constructively within a team-based environment, contributing to a culture of inclusion, trust, and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills, verbal, written and Auslan, with the ability to support clear communication between students, teachers, and families.
- Ability to collect, record, and communicate student learning data accurately to support decision-making and intervention planning.
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning, reflective practice, and alignment with the school¿s instructional model and values.
