Selection Criteria

SC1

Demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum, and the VTLM 2.0, when planning for and teaching literacy and numeracy. 
Demonstrated experience responding to student learning needs.

SC2

Demonstrated knowledge of and capacity to plan for and implement evidence-based practices.
Demonstrated experience evaluating the impact of teaching on student learning growth.

SC3

Demonstrated experience monitoring and assessing student learning and providing feedback on student learning growth and achievement. 
Demonstrated expertise using data to inform teaching practice.

SC4

Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. 
Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships (with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community) to enhance student learning and wellbeing.

SC5

Demonstrated behaviours consistent with Donnybrook Primary School's values. 
Demonstrated experience engaging in practice improvement to enhance teaching and to improve student learning outcomes. 

Role

The classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges- range 1 and range 2.  The primary focus of the classroom teacher is on the planning, preparation and teaching of programs to achieve specific student outcomes.  The classroom teacher engages in critical reflection and inquiry in order to improve knowledge and skills to effectively engage students and improve their learning.
