Role description


 

We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

Join our team as a Special Needs Education Assistant and support the Department's objective of teaching and learning for students with special needs. You will assist in the implementation of specialised education programs such as occupational therapy, speech therapy and physiotherapy, helping to ensure that students receive the best possible education.

Working closely with teachers, you will support the delivery of planned education programs using explicit teaching and evidence-based instructional strategies aligned with whole school approaches to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes. You will assi…
