The Executive Director of Schools invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for this temporary part-time (0.4FTE) position as an EAL/D Teacher at John Therry Catholic College, Rosemeadow commencing 20 July 2026 until 21 July 2027.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The EAL/ D Teacher is a member of the Improvement Learning and Wellbeing service area as part of the Learning K-12 Team. The position requires significant experience in curriculum and the capacity to support EAL/D students within Secondary Schools. This role is part of a wider EAL/D team and as such, the EAL/D Teacher will be required to:

• Collaborate with the School Leadership Team and CEDoW EAL/D Officers.
• Work within the school team to implement the EAL/D Management Plan responsibilities.
• Design and facilitate professional learning opportunities in order to build teacher capacity.
• Coordinate, facilitate and respond to the collection of student work samples and assessment data.
• Support EAL/D students’ learning needs through a range of pedagogical processes, including collaborative planning, co-teaching with classroom teachers and the design of student learning plans.
