Role description

TEACHER - EARLY YEARS 

Position Details
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic educator to join our dynamic teaching and learning community, with a passion for early years education. This is a temporary part-time position one day (0.2 FTE), working on a Wednesday, commencing as soon as possible 

The successful applicant will coordinate our “Tiny Toms” playgroup for children aged 0–3 and their families on Wednesday mornings, and teach within the early years classes for the remainder of the day.

Founded by the Presentation Sisters in 1908, St Thomas’ is a vibrant, single-stream co-educational primary school of 200 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. Located in the heart of Claremont, the school is committed to educating the whole child in a Christ-centred, safe and nurturing environment. Selection Criteria
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, suitably qualified educator who can:
•    Demonstrate excellent communication with children, staff and families.
•    Apply strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS, WA Curriculum and Kindergarten Guidelines in early
      years and playgroup settings.
•    Create nurturing, play-based learning environments for children aged 0–5.
•    Use technology effectively to support learning and communication.
•    Work collaboratively as part of a professional, faith-filled team.
