Role description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and student-focused teacher to join our secondary team, with a teaching focus primarily across Year 7 Mathematics and Science.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, inclusive education practices, and building positive relationships with students, staff and families. They will contribute to a collaborative school culture that values wellbeing, engagement, numeracy development and student growth.
This role is suited to an educator who is passionate about supporting young people to become confident learners, critical thinkers and curious problem-solvers as they build strong foundations in Mathematics and Science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Learning
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging learning programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum for Year 7 Mathematics and Science, with the capacity to support broader middle years learning where required.
- Differentiate curriculum and learning experiences to meet the diverse academic, social and developmental needs of students.
- Use evidence-informed teaching strategies
- Establish positive and inclusive classroom environments that promote high expectations, curiosity and respectful relationships.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and families.
