Primary objective

This role is responsible for developing, operationalising, and supporting the Department of Education and Training’s (DET) strategy, governance and policy with particular focus on digital technology and information to improve student outcomes.

Context statement

The Strategic Projects branch ensures that programs and projects align with agency, Northern Territory Government (NTG), and Australian Government priorities. It promotes and maintains program management standards, ensuring consistent delivery and portfolio reporting. The branch also leads the response to strategic digital technology priorities and guides the department’s digital direction. The team develops and implements tactical plans to ensure the efficient delivery of enterprise applications and digital services, working closely with business areas, One NTG partners, consultants, and business analysts to achieve outcomes.
