Role description
Pipalyatjara is an Anangu community on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands in the far north west of South Australia. It lies approximately 1660 km north west of metropolitan Adelaide.
We are looking for a The Maintenance (Facilities & Grounds) employee who will be responsible for the provision of effective and efficient maintenance pertaining to the school grounds, focusing largely on the maintenance of buildings, storage, security, gardening and irrigation, with additional support provided to leadership relating to staff housing, managing keys & cleaning of accommodation buildings, liaising with security services in regards to safety.
This is a rare opportunity to experience and immerse yourself in a beautiful, remote part of South Australia, only accessible to those who live and work in the region. Your work will have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of Anangu children, families, and the wider community.

In addition to the salary, the following financial incentives apply:
Locality Allowance $10,000pa (approx)
Fully Subsidised Accommodation including all utilities (accommodation may be shared)
Payment of Removal Expenses
To ensure employer compliance of duty of care responsibilities given the unique environment of the APY Lands, a wellness check will be conducted for any teacher nominated for this position and prior to any offer of employment.
