About the Opportunity
We are seeking an engaging, enthusiastic and highly professional Diverse Learning Assistant, who is passionate about ensuring all students learn to the best of their ability.
The role of Diverse Learning Assistant is to work closely with teachers to support the diverse needs of the students in their class while actively participating in lessons. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully within a collaborative learning environment, nurturing and empowering students with diverse learning needs across Years 5-12.
This role is Permanent Full-Time role commencing as soon as practicable.
· Provide learning support to individual and small groups of students with diverse or special needs (Years 5–12).
· Provide students in-class alongside the classroom teacher, as well as during practical activities, excursions and camps, including personal care where appropriate.
· Preparing and sourcing learning resources and assessments for students whose current achievement is significantly below their current stage of schooling (generally 2 stages).
· Support short-term targeted intervention programs for individuals and small groups.
