Role description
Welcome to the community of Abbotsleigh. Abbotsleigh is a pre-kindergarten to Year 12 Anglican day and Boarding school for girls located in Wahroonga, Upper North Shore. Our curriculum is broad and encourages all areas of creativity and innovation, from our earliest learners to our Senior Girls. Abbotsleigh has a wonderful opportunity for an engaging and highly motivated Christian Studies Teacher to join our dynamic Christian Studies department on a temporary 12‑month maternity leave contract.
The successful applicant will be an outstanding educator who is passionate about Christian Studies, committed to excellence in teaching, and eager to support Abbotsleigh in nurturing confident, thoughtful and faith‑informed young women. They will inspire each girl to develop a love of deep learning and a growing understanding of the Christian faith.
The role
This part‑time position (approximately 0.52 FTE) involves teaching Years 7–12 Christian Studies and contributing positively to the Christian life of the School. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
