About Us

At Warakirri College, we educate young people aged 15–22 who have disengaged from mainstream schooling—often due to anxiety, depression, or social disadvantage. Our students are capable, curious, and resilient. They simply need the right environment and dedicated, passionate educators to thrive.

Our education model is expanding its reach, and we are excited to open a brand-new campus in Picton.

We’re looking for a values-driven educational leader who can hold high expectations and high care at the same time.

About the Role

This is not just a school leadership role, it’s ethical leadership that has the power to interrupt disadvantage and change life trajectories. The Head of Campus will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Picton campus including enrolments, student welfare, behaviour management and the support and coordination of campus staff, resources and facilities.

Reporting to a Deputy Principal, this role sits within the College’s Executive Leadership Team, responsible for implementing strategic initiatives consistent with the College’s Strategic Plan.

About You

Key selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated commitment to values-aligned, trauma-informed education.
  • Recognised teaching qualification with current NESA accreditation at Proficient level or above.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a teaching or student welfare role.
  • A minimum of two (2) years in a leadership role, with proven ability to lead, support and develop diverse educational teams.
