Teacher of Secondary English (including VCE English)

Fixed-term (12 months)

Full-Time (1.0 FTE)

Commencing Term 3, 2026


The Geelong College is seeking a passionate, experienced and innovative professional to join our Senior School as a Teacher of Secondary English (including VCE English).

This position is an exciting opportunity for a committed educator who is dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences, fostering positive student relationships, and contributing to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the College.

The successful applicant will teach Years 7-10 English in accordance with the Victorian Curriculum. The ability to teach VCE English would be advantageous.


Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must demonstrate the following:

  • Evidence of Right to Work in Australia
  • Relevant educational qualification and experience in a similar teaching role 
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teachers (VIT) registration or eligibility to obtain registration
  • Current Certifications in:
    • First Aid (HLTAID011)
    • CPR (HTLAID 009)
    • Asthma Management
  • Completion of either:
    • The College's anaphylaxis training, or
    • Accredited course: 22578VIC - Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis
