Role description
We are seeking a Trainer for the Building and Construction Industry Training Program.
In this role you will use your extensive experience in the building and construction industry to provide current and authentic learning experiences, enabling students to successfully complete the Building and Construction Industry Training Program and develop the skills and dispositions required by employers.
What will you do
- deliver learning that allows students to fulfil the requirements of the industry training program
- work in collaboration with the Industry Program Lead to implement and evaluate the curriculum of the industry training program
-contribute to the planning, delivery and assessment of industry experiences
-provide career planning, coaching, mentoring and advice to support students with industry connections and opportunities in the workplace.
What you will need:
- extensive successful experience in working within the building and construction industry and your trade/professional area
- effective presentation and facilitation skills, and ability to use a range of methods to engage and connect with students
- demonstrated capacity to work with and build professional relationships with all stakeholders including young people, parents, colleagues, and industry partners.
The Heights Technical College provides a new and innovative model of public education for students in Year 10 to 12, combining SACE completion with hands-on vocational education and training (VET) in state-of-the-art facilities.
