Role description
This ASETO role is primarily focused on supporting Aboriginal students within the secondary years, with an emphasis on coordination and delivery of targeted programs to enhance learning outcomes. This includes facilitating initiatives that support student engagement in VET, providing guidance on post-school pathways to further education or employment and coordinating the girls group, with a strong focus on promoting students wellbeing, resilience, and personal development.
This role will be instrumental in building a supportive network for Aboriginal girls, providing opportunities for cultural connection, leadership, and ongoing support as students navigate both schooling and future aspirations. You will collaborate closely with school staff, families, and community partners to ensure culturally responsive practices and positive outcomes for Aboriginal students.
Please note the salary amount may differ from that advertised. Salary is dependent upon your current employment status with the Department for Education, tenure and hours per week. The salary stated is based on an employee working 52 weeks per annum, full time equivalent. The successful applicant will be employed under the appropriate mode of employment.
