About the Role
The Microsoft Workspace Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and maintenance of the Microsoft 365 environment across Sydney Catholic Schools’ (SCS) central office and schools by ensuring the reliability, security, and compliance of collaboration and productivity platforms that underpin teaching, learning, and administration.
The role manages user access, governance, and integrations, supports incident and change management processes, and collaborates with other teams to deliver seamless solutions. Further, this is a critical role in optimising Microsoft 365 services, enabling effective communication and collaboration, and supporting strategic initiatives such as automation, identity management, and deployment of new features and education tools.
The Microsoft Workspace Administrator is required to perform tasks that include but are not limited to:
- administering and supporting Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Exchange Online, Teams, Teams Rooms, OneDrive, SharePoint) per SLAs and OLAs
- managing user accounts, permissions, and security settings within Microsoft 365
- configuring and maintaining Exchange Online (mailbox setups, security policies, shared mailboxes)
- administering Teams: create teams and channels, enforce policies, integrate third-party apps, monitor usage and optimise performance
