Maroubra Bay Public School is located in the Eastern Suburbs Sydney with 218 students currently enrolled. There is a rich diverse school population, with 45 cultural groups represented. There are currently 19 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and 115 students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD). Extracurricular opportunities are offered including dancing, PSSA sports, Public Speaking and Debating competitions and the whole school garden program give students experiences where they can explore and enhance their creative abilities and make sense of the world around them. There are identified areas for improvement in student performance, particularly in the areas of literacy and numeracy, with a strong focus on using data informed evidence-based practices.
