Role description

We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistants Special Needs (EASN) for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Balga Primary School (PS) is a vibrant and inclusive learning community located on the traditional lands of the Wadjak Noongar people. The school's motto of 'WE AIM HIGH' lives within each of our staff and students every day. As a connected community WE celebrate the achievements of our students and aim to nurture them through providing excellence in education and setting high standards of teaching and learning.

The Role

Under teacher direction, EASN support education programs while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. They assist in delivering planned programs that help students reach their full potential by developing academic, social, emotional, and physical skills, including the use of computers and digital technologies.

Suitable applicants will ideally display strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and teaching professionals. Well-developed organisational skills are highly desirable, enabling effective support in program delivery and development, as well as providing feedback to teaching staff and psychologists.
