Education Assistant - Special Needs

We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Riverton Education Support Centre (ESC) has students from extremely varied backgrounds, with over 40 nationalities and languages. We actively celebrate and embrace the diversity of cultures in a variety of ways. Within the ESC, we cater for a variety of different nationalities, diagnosis and a range of abilities.

Riverton ESC is located in Riverton and co-located on the same site as Riverton Primary School. Both schools on the Campus acquired Independent Public-School status in 2016.

The Role

As a Special Needs Education Assistant at Riverton ESC you will assist teaching staff in the delivery of planned educational programs and in promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment. You will work under the direction of a teacher and will be required to share your professional knowledge, with your peers, collaborate with school community members, administration and paraprofessionals to support student achievement.
