Role description



We are seeking to establish a pool of Deputy Principals for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Riverton Primary School (PS), an Independent Public-School catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. We are an inclusive community where students work collaboratively in a rich learning environment to achieve their academic, social and emotional potential. We have a strong focus on English, Mathematics and Science to ensure students are supported and equipped for their future learning and experience, with a priority on student health and wellbeing Other learning areas include Music, Japanese, Art, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and Physical Education.

With a current enrolment of over 660 students, Riverton PS continues to grow steadily. We are a local area school with a deservedly strong reputation in the district. Enrolment is sought by parents from inside and outside the local residential area. The demographic structure of our families and students is very diverse, with a strong international flavour.

Our student population is diverse, with over 40 nationalities and languages. Consequently, we have a significant English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) component, employing specialist staff members to work with class teachers and students inside and outside the classrooms in various modes.
