Are you a passionate Mathematics teacher who thrives in a creative and student-centred learning environment?

Music Industry College is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Part-Time Mathematics Teacher (0.6 FTE) to join our dynamic team in Fortitude Valley commencing in Term 3, 2026.

Music Industry College is Australia’s only senior school designed specifically for young people pursuing pathways in the music industry. We deliver a unique educational experience where academic learning is integrated with real-world creative practice.

About the Role
The successful applicant will:

  • Teach Qld General Mathematics and Essential Mathematics to senior secondary students (Years 11–12)
  • Develop engaging, relevant, and differentiated learning experiences aligned with the Queensland curriculum
  • Support students to achieve strong academic outcomes while balancing their creative and performance commitments
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary and innovative teaching team

About You

We are looking for a teacher who has:

  • Current teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
  • Qualifications in secondary Mathematics education
  • Demonstrated ability to teach both General Mathematics and Essential Mathematics
  • Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
  • Completed mandatory training in Child Safe Standards
  • A flexible, student-focused approach to teaching and learning
