Role description
The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape whole-school strategies that improve outcomes for EALD learners. As the EALD Lead Teacher, you’ll provide expert guidance, build staff capacity, and drive data-informed planning aligned with CESA’s strategic goals. Your leadership will directly impact language and literacy success across the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a whole-school EALD improvement plan aligned with strategic goals.
- Coordinate the identification, assessment, and monitoring of EALD learners using the LEAP Levels.
- Guide staff in analysing EALD data to set appropriate content and language learning goals.
- Collaborate with leadership to evaluate EALD teaching and learning and inform strategic planning.
- Model respectful and reciprocal engagement with EALD families to support student wellbeing and achievement.

- You demonstrate expertise in using data to inform planning, assessment, and school improvement.
- You have a deep understanding of EALD pedagogy, including the use of LEAP Levels and culturally responsive practices.
- You are committed to inclusive education and building strong partnerships with families and communities.
- You are a collaborative leader who can influence whole-school change and foster a shared vision for EALD success.
