About St Patrick's Catholic Parish Primary School

Role description

A temporary position commencing 9 June 2026 until 13 November 2026.  The successful applicant will be required teach 0.6 Science and Technology curriculum across K-6 and 0.2 indentured casual.

The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Thorough knowledge of the new Science and Technology syllabus
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers across K-6
